Massage with a diagnosis behind it.
Tuina (say "twee-nah") is the hands-on discipline of Chinese medicine, refined across two millennia. Through pressing, kneading, rolling, and guided stretching along pathways and muscle groups, it loosens adhesions, quiets spasms, and brings back comfortable motion.
This is not spa massage: each appointment pursues a named target — a frozen shoulder, a seized-up lower back, a neck that barely turns — and progress is measured against it.

How an appointment unfolds
Pinpointing the bind
Hands-on testing reveals which muscles and joints are holding you back.

Move it, keep it
Your range is rechecked side by side, and you take home stretches that hold the gains.
Questions we hear often
What sets tuina apart from spa massage?
Tuina starts from an assessment — joints, pathways, and movement habits are studied before hands go to work on the dysfunction itself. Sessions stay clothed and frequently share the visit with acupuncture.
Will the pressure hurt?
Strong pressure on sore tissue can feel intense, but it reads as a relieving ache that melts as the muscle lets go. Speak up at any moment and the pressure changes on the spot.
How should I dress?
Soft, loose layers you can stretch in. Tuina is classically given over clothing, so there is no need to undress.
